Sons of Job (Men's Meetings)
Sons of Job is a men’s online meeting, weekly at 7 pm UK time (2 pm New York, 11 am San Fran), usually Thursday or Friday (varies), for paid subscribers.
What are the Sons of Job meetings about?
No one can be told what they are.
Is this a discussion group?
No, though there is almost always some discussion.
Is it a support group?
No, though support can and will be found here.
Is it a therapy group?
No, though healing has been known to happen.
Is it a mystical group?
That would depend what the word means to you. For me, anything worth our time has a mystical dimension.
Is it a Christian group?
Even harder to answer. Where 2 or 3 are gathered. . .
Why is it “men only”?
When God gives you lemons. . .
90% of the people with the wherewithal to pass through the “4th wall” and move past parasocial relating are, consistently, men. If women want to come to meetings, a mixed group will organically evolve.
What do you talk about?
While the content of Children of Job substack (or my books) is rarely discussed, it does provide a necessary overview of the context of understanding (“worldview”) in which the meetings take place. This is especially true of the more overtly spiritual aspects of my work.
For a not-really representational taste of the meeting space, listen here:
Jobcast # 71: Sons of Job
What it says; discussing recent podcast interviews, exploring the Christian conundrum of judge not lest ye be judged, how to judge oneself in order not to be judged, loving thine neighbors & enemies, and the difference between judgement and condemnation, belief & discernment. Also, Ruben’s blue balls (paying subbers only).
A truly representational taste can’t be provided, because it would not be made public, for obvious reasons. The Sons of Job is an intimate meeting space for honest, open, uncensored soul-sharing to occur in.
To attend: You will need a working mic and camera, and to abstain for 48-72 hours from alcohol, tobacco, and all non-prescription drugs, as well as pornography (something participants rarely have an interest in).
Why this rule?
The primary goal of these meetings (I would say of everything I do, and of life itself) is to facilitate soul-connections.
Soul connections require souls to “land,” or come “online,” and transmit.
The human body is a receiver-transmitter for the Spirit, physical life the means by which individual souls are formed (the resurrection of the body as pneumatic, as compared to psychical, man, in Pauline terms).
For this to happen, the body’s subtle or spiritual senses must be opened.
This requires clearing out of all toxins and intoxicants, including or especially those caused by trauma, which is invariably at the root of unhealthy drug-and-alcohol-use, and sexual dysfunction.
If you smoke, drink alcohol to excess, take drugs, or use pornography, these things act to keep your subtle senses dormant, and therefore make you non-receptive to the soul-transmission, hence to the purpose of the meetings.
If you do these things and aren’t willing to do without them for 2-3 days, then these meetings definitely aren’t for you.
